The TICAS MI Student Advocacy Fellowship program is a one-year, paid opportunity for students pursuing a postsecondary education in Michigan to learn and practice policy research, analysis, and advocacy skills. The program is designed to bring students from across the state and different education pathways to identify barriers that prevent Michiganders from accessing, affording, and completing a higher education. With the assistance of the TICAS team, these students research an issue impacting Michigan students and communities, create a project that improves our understanding of the impact of this issue, and publish a document that specifies policy changes that could address the issue.
