What impact do you hope to have on higher education policy?
I want to help eliminate the barriers that prevent young people from participating in policy and advocacy. Every student should know that their voice matters and have access to the resources, knowledge, and opportunities needed to create meaningful change. My hope is to empower more young people to see themselves not just as future leaders, but as leaders who can shape policy today.
What’s one thing people should know about higher education in Michigan?
I wish more people knew how unique Michigan is. Our state’s location, climate, diverse communities, and evolving political landscape create incredible opportunities to make a meaningful impact. Whether through research, public service, healthcare, or policy, Michigan offers students countless ways to engage with real-world challenges while building a strong community. It’s a place where you can grow academically and make a difference at the same time.
