What impact do you hope to have on higher education policy?
Through our work, I would like to create a lasting impact on the accessibility and ease with which students can access higher education policy spaces. Especially beyond simply being allowed in the room, and instead truly understanding and taking an active role in policies that directly affect them.
What’s one thing people should know about higher education in Michigan?
I wish people knew that their experience is what they make it. Treating higher education as something that is unattainable will only continue to make it so. Change always has to begin somewhere, even if that somewhere is in a hard place. Get into these spaces and take an active role in the world around you so that you can leave it better than how you found it.
