92 organizations strongly oppose the package of IAA bills set to be marked up in the House Education and Workforce Committee this week

TICAS and 24 cosignatories, including several members of its Californians for College Affordability coalition and additional segmental and advocacy partners, submitted a letter to the CA Senate Appropriations Committee in support of CA Senate Bill 1006 (Padilla), which would ensure that the Cal Grant B access awards do not continue to lose purchasing power.

As convener of the Californians for College Affordability coalition, TICAS submitted this coalition letter to California Governor Gavin Newsom on critical investments his administration can make in the FY 2026-27 state budget to meaningfully advance higher education affordability, equity, and attainment.

TICAS and several members of its Californians for College Affordability coalition submitted a letter to the CA Senate Education Committee in support of CA Senate Bill 1006 (Padilla), which would ensure that the Cal Grant B access awards do not continue to lose purchasing power.

A coalition of 65+ organizations is urging Congress to act immediately to address a looming funding shortfall for the federal Pell Grant program by “providing new funding that fully covers the current and projected Pell Grant shortfall for the current and upcoming fiscal years to prevent any loss in student eligibility or aid.”
