Coalition Letter of Support for California SB 1006

TICAS and 24 cosignatories, including several members of its Californians for College Affordability coalition and additional segmental and advocacy partners, submitted a letter to the CA Senate Appropriations Committee in support of CA Senate Bill 1006 (Padilla), which would ensure that the Cal Grant B access awards do not continue to lose purchasing power. The awards help the state’s lowest income students – including student parents and recent foster youth – cover critical non-tuition college costs.
