Building the Path Back to Postsecondary Success: Cross-Sector Leadership Can Reengage Rural Learners
The TICAS Rural Reconnect Initiative synthesizes promising practices and recommendations from institutional leaders, researchers, workforce and postsecondary practitioners, and policymakers dedicated to improving outcomes for rural students with some college and no credential (SCNC) in the South and Southwest United States. The findings from this project underscore a need for a holistic, coordinated approach to addressing systemic barriers to re-enrollment and degree completion.
This brief synthesizes our recommendations for institutional, state, and federal policymakers to allow rural students with SCNC to complete their credentials and achieve economic mobility.
