• What are you most excited about in the MI policy space? I’m excited for the opportunity to speak about the occurrences and policies that are set in place and those that are not set in place that impact students significantly. As student success relies heavily on accessibility and affordability which is not always present when speaking to policies that surround students.
  • What impact would you like to leave in the higher Ed policy space? The impact that I would like to leave students in higher education policy space is that of the willingness and withstanding systems that actually sees and addresses students. Not just a system that is built to inhabit students, but actually having the work and the actions there to have sustainable success at students fingertips. There just should not be as many obstacles for students as there is when considering that higher education is meant to further create success and abundance.
  • What is something you wish people knew about pursuing higher education in Michigan? I wish that people knew when pursuing higher education is Michigan there are many resources and program that are within Michigan created to build that gap and help guide students when it comes to succeeding in their higher education journey. When going into higher education I feel that students are not made aware of these programs and options, so they may go down harder routes to create that success which may not have been necessary. I just wish that gap could be filled within Michigan and understanding what Michigan higher ed programs have to offer.
