Dr. Ellie Bruecker is the Senior Director of Research at The Institute for College Access & Success (TICAS). As a former first-generation college student and Pell recipient, Ellie is a passionate advocate for equity in higher education and is committed to bridging the gap between research and policy change. At TICAS, Ellie leads the Research Team in conducting high-quality data analysis and student-centered research.
Before joining TICAS, Ellie served as a Senior Research Associate at the Seldin/Haring-Smith Foundation. She has also partnered with a variety of organizations on higher education research projects, including the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s SSTAR Lab, the National Governors Association, and the State Higher Education Executive Officers (SHEEO) Association.
Ellie holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
