In a letter to the California Assembly on Higher Education Committee, the Californian for College Affordability Coalition (led by TICAS) expressed concern for AB 811 (Fong). While well-intentioned, in its current form, AB 811 could have unintended consequences for California Community Colleges (CCC) students, particularly those from low-income backgrounds and students of color.
