Centering Students in Michigan’s Financial Aid Programs

Michigan’s financial aid system is unnecessarily complex. The state has eight separate programs operating with different rules and requirements, and the misalignment between the programs is often costly for students and colleges. A joint report from The Institute for College Access & Success and The Century Foundation examines the current landscape of existing financial aid programs in the state and offers policy recommendations for streamlining the programs.
