The TICAS Empowering Future Higher Education Policy Leaders Fellowship aims to expose graduate students and professionals in higher education to the federal policy field, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to become influential leaders in higher education policy.
The fellowship provides graduate students and higher education professionals who attended a community college, Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs), Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs), Tribal Colleges & Universities (TCUs) and other Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) with a comprehensive introduction to federal higher education policy and opportunities to connect with key policymakers, advocates, and experts in the field. Fellows gain foundational knowledge and practical insights into the workings of federal education policy; real-world experience in policy analysis, development, and implementation; and professional engagement with thought leaders and peers in the policy community.
