In response to President Trump’s executive order on accreditation on April 23, Sameer Gadkaree, President of The Institute for College Access & Success (TICAS), issued the following statement.

Earlier today, President Trump indicated that the federal loan portfolio would be transferred immediately to the Small Business Administration (SBA). The following statement is attributed to Jessica Thompson, Senior Vice President of TICAS.

Dismantling the Department of Education (Department) will prove disastrous for students, borrowers, and our nation’s future workforce. On the heels of mass firings that have already hobbled core student aid and research functions, today’s action doubles down on weakening our nation’s higher education system.  

TICAS President Sameer Gadkaree issued a statement expressing extreme concern in response to the Department of Education’s mass firings of its workforce.

The Institute for College Access & Success (TICAS) is pleased to welcome Christopher J.
