Across the country, students from underserved communities have faced disproportionate challenges to
enrolling in and remaining in college during the pandemic. College enrollment fell by five percent during
the pandemic – nearly one million students – the largest decline in the last 50 years.

TICAS convened a group of organizations providing comprehensive approaches to student success, and with a Community of Practice, created a research agenda identifying the research questions most pressing to answer at this moment in time and a framework for equity in the use of data.
