Today, TICAS joined more than 100 organizations to urge members of Congress to shore up funding for the Pell Grant program to close a looming funding shortfall and protect millions of students from eligibility cuts. 

In January, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released new supplemental projections for the Pell Grant program. Unlike the last Pell baseline (released in June 2024), CBO now projects the Pell program will face a funding shortfall this year.
