TICAS Response to California’s May 2024 Budget Revision

On May 18, 2024 TICAS submitted a letter to the California Senate and Assembly Budget Committees in response to the May Budget Revise. The letter both expresses our support and concerns with several of the proposed changes included in the Governor’s May Revision to the 2024 Budget. Our support is for the continued investment into the California College Guidance Initiative (CCGI) and the TBL modifications for the Cradle to Career Data System and our more nuanced recommendations come around Cal Grant Reform, Affordable Student Housing, and how to approach the UC and CSU Core Operation reduction.
