TICAS Letter of Support for California Assembly Bill 1885

On June 6, 2024, TICAS submitted a letter of support to the California Senate Education Committee for Assembly Bill 1885 (Addis). This bill would expands financial aid access to the Student Success Completion Grant (SSCG) for students in Disabled Student Programs and Services (DSPS), since they are classified as full time if they are enrolled in at least nine units. TICAS believes AB 1885 is a first step towards the expansion of the SSCG to all subgroups of students enrolled in a minimum of nine semester units.
