TICAS Comments and Concerns Regarding the National Council of State Authorization Reciprocity
The California Law Revision Commission (CLRC) will be discussing the possibility of undertaking a study of interstate reciprocity for higher education distance learning in California, and TICAS submitted comments with recommendations and highlighting concerns regarding the National Council of State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). California policymakers have decided time and time again to reject NC-SARA given concerns about consumer protection and state rights, and have instead taken steps to strengthen state law to protect students in California.
