Consumer Protections Letter in Support of the California BPPE

On April 8, 2025, TICAS joined a letter along with consumer advocates in support of strengthening California’s enforcement and accountability authority through the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE). Specifically, the letter addressed a key priority that appears to be missing the 2025-26 California State Budget and highlights important investments in the agency that serves as the state’s primary enforcement mechanism for out-of-state institutions.
