Coalition Letter on Equitable Investments in State Financial Aid in the 2021-22 California State Budget

Over two dozen diverse organizations urge the chairs of the California State Senate and Assembly budget committees, and subcommittees on education, to include targeted and equitable investments in college financial aid in the 2021-22 California State Budget by extending an entitlement Cal Grant to all students with Pell Grant-eligible finances, and ensuring the value of the access award that helps cover non-tuition costs is, at minimum, maintained and tied to an annual growth factor.
