TICAS Response to Senate HELP Committee’s Request for Input on HEA Reauthorization

TICAS’ specific policy recommendations in response to the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee’s request for input on the reauthorization of the Higher Education Act. In negotiating the details of potential policy changes, it is imperative that the Committee: always place students’ needs at the center of reforms; reject proposals that would increase the burden of student debt for struggling borrowers; and safeguard proven protections for students and taxpayers.
