New Study Finds Student Loan Debt Increased More Than Starting Salaries in 2006

A new report, Student Debt and the Class of 2006, indicates that the average student loan debt for graduating seniors climbed by eight percent in one year, while starting salaries rose by only four percent. Debt levels vary widely by state, with some Midwestern and New England states facing the highest debts.
