Without action, monthly student loan bills will come due for over 40 million Americans in just 26 days. To stop this from happening, the federal government must quickly extend the current interest-free pause on student loan payments before it expires on December 31, 2020.

Student loan borrowers still need this relief as COVID-19 cases surge across the country and state and local governments re-institute shutdown measures while other emergency relief measures, including unemployment benefits and eviction moratoriums, are expiring. Now is not the time to pull the plug on these crucial benefits.

Take Action >>>

ACT NOW to urge Congress and the Education Department to take immediate action to extend the current emergency student loan protections — including a pause on payments, no interest, and a moratorium on debt collection — and to expand these protections to cover all federal student loans.
