Statement on Selection of Richard Corday to Serve as Chief Operating Officer for Federal Student Aid

Author: Statement of Beth Stein

“Last month, TICAS and eleven other organizations sent a letter urging Secretary Cardona to select a leader as Chief Operating Officer of Federal Student Aid who would demonstrate an unwavering commitment to fairness and equity for borrowers and prioritize consumer protection, transparency, and meaningful, timely, enforcement. Richard Cordray has a record that amply demonstrates that he will do just that. We thank Secretary Cardona for making this choice, and we look forward to continuing to work with both the Secretary and Richard Cordray.”
