37 Groups Urge Senate Majority Leader Schumer and Minority Leader McConnell to Support Closing the 90/10 Loophole to Protect Students Amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic

Thirty-seven organizations today wrote to Senate Majority Leader Schumer and Minority Leader McConnell in support of the closing the 90/10 loophole in the American Rescue Plan of 2021. The 37 groups work on behalf of students, veterans, and others concerned about unaffordable student debts and predatory practices. They urge Senators to close the loophole in order to stop the targeting of veterans with aggressive and deceptive recruiting practices, and to better identify high-risk colleges that are overly reliant on federal subsidies.
