With 2023 coming to a close, TICAS reflects on our year of research, community, and advocacy for a more fair and equitable system of higher education. As expected, this year brought many twists and turns, triumphs and losses, and emerging challenges and opportunities that will surely define the year ahead.

This year, TICAS continued our student-centered approach to our research and advocacy as we looked to provide policy, systemic, and institutional solutions that will bring equity and accessibility to postsecondary education for millions of students.

TICAS:Onward

Among the moving forces within higher education policy, TICAS charted a new course in our advocacy journey in 2023 by launching our new strategic plan, TICAS:Onward. Grounded in our newly defined mission and vision, we are doubling down on our commitment to the nation’s most vulnerable students by addressing today’s policy challenges in order to realize a new higher education system that serves everyone. 

In September, we celebrated TICAS:Onward by gathering our close partners, friends, and allies for an event, where we renewed our shared commitment in advocating for solutions that will create meaningful change in the higher education system.

Looking ahead to 2024

TICAS thanks you for your partnership in creating a more accessible and equitable higher education system for the next generation of students. Together, our advocacy will advance necessary higher education reforms that will impact the communities that need the most support in attaining a postsecondary credential and economic prosperity.
